THE MIRACLE BUS!!!

The Miracle Bus has been a miracle more than once. A group of Nascar enthusiasts got together and decided to make a bus out of a 1975 R-Model Mack truck to take to the races. Almost everything but the cab was custom built. Little did they know when they built it that it would be the answer to Joe Hunter (founder & president of TMI) and his wife, Jan’s prayer for a ministry bus. When they got the bus they painted it blue and called it “The Miracle Bus”. After having the bus for seven years they were given a motor home, which again was an answer to prayer, for a ministry bus and they put the Mack Coach up for sale hoping to get enough money for a TMI Chapel. The bus sat for almost a year without anyone showing interest in purchasing it even though donations were made for complete Chapels they were not interested in the bus. One night while discussing what they should do with the bus, Joe said, “Well since it was given to us maybe GOD wants us to give it to someone else”, to which Jan replied, “What about Jer and Jewel?” Well, little did they know that we had asked GOD for a bus and had spent the last two and a half years standing in faith thanking HIM every day for giving us a bus. Thank GOD, HE is in the business of answering prayers and HIS timing is perfect! It took us over a year taking every long weekend to fix it up and remodel the inside. GOD is faithful and now we have been in full time ministry just over three years, Praise HIS Name! We have lived in the Miracle Bus for months at a time and it has been a huge blessing. With Chaplain Jerry, being the Gulf Coast Regional Director we would not have been able to be as effective in the ministry without the bus. We are now in a position where we will need to be on the road even more and we are standing in faith for a bigger bus with big bays, large holding tanks, lots of storage room and a full size fridge. It will be our permanent home. We are still amazed, blessed and thankful for the Mack Coach, Miracle Bus and will enjoy it fully until the day it becomes someone else’s “answer to prayer”.
